I plan to go to Lakewood School of Therapeutic Massage in August.  I originally went to college right out of high school for Advertising Design.  I went to school full-time for a year and a half.  I didn't finish with an Associate's degree.  I was able to find a graphic design job at sign shop about a year later, after applying at every print and sign shop in my area.  I have now been at the same job for 8 years.  I haven't been happy with where I am at or the work I am doing.  It's not very fulfilling and I feel as though it brings the worst out in me most of time.  I have thought a lot about what I want to do, careerwise, in the past few years and I have felt very drawn to massage therapy.  I love the idea that it is a form of healing.  I feel as though it would be a very calming career for myself in many ways and for others around me.  I am really excited to get started on this new adventure and I think it will bring about a lot of good change to my life and my career.

Artist:

I started painting in high school with acrylic paints.  I continued to paint after high school into college.  I then took a break for a while and about four years ago I started painting again with oil paints.  I find that my paintings are little pieces of myself.  Little insites into who I am.  I still haven't quite let go of all inabitions in my painting, but I continue to try and let go and just paint what I feel.


Life:

I am happily married.  We just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary.  We met in 1996 and started dating in 1997 and have been together ever since.  My husband is my encouragement.  He supports me in everything I do and want to do.  I also do the same for him.  We love being together and enjoy many of the same interests.  He is my everything.  He understands me when sometimes I don't even understand myself.

We have two cats, which are brothers.  They are quite the characters.  We don't have any kids, but these two are defintely like our children.  They have attitudes when they don't get what they want, they are overjoyed to see us when we get home, and they wake us up on weekend mornings when they can't wait any longer and want attention.  There are many pictures of them in my photo album.  Check them out.
